We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established nursing and residential care home in Bristol. We are looking for compassionate and reliable Healthcare Assistant to join the team and help deliver high-quality, person-centred care to residents.
This role is ideal for individuals who are caring, attentive and committed to supporting residents with dignity, respect and independence.
Key Responsibilities
Care and Support
Provide high-quality care and support to residents as part of a dedicated care team.
Assist residents with personal care tasks while promoting dignity, independence and wellbeing.
Follow individual care plans and support residents according to their specific needs.
Monitor residents’ wellbeing and report any changes in physical or mental health to senior staff.
Support residents with mobility using safe moving and handling practices.
Encourage residents to remain as independent as possible with daily activities.
Health and Safety
Follow infection prevention and control procedures at all times.
Ensure a safe, clean and comfortable environment for residents and colleagues.
Work in line with all policies, procedures and regulatory standards.
Teamwork and Communication
Work closely with colleagues and other healthcare professionals to provide the best possible care.
Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with the wider care team.
Participate in team meetings, supervision sessions and training when required.
Additional Duties
Assist residents with meals and ensure appropriate nutrition and hydration.
Support medication administration where trained and authorised.
Carry out light domestic duties relevant to the role.
Take part in audits and quality improvement activities when required.

Full UK Driving License

Qualifications
No formal qualifications are required, though a Level 2 qualification in Health and Social Care is desirable.
Candidates without this qualification may be required to complete the Care Certificate.
Training opportunities are available for career development, including medication training where applicable.
